This post is meant to help you learn the elements of Refillable Carved Candles (size, carving pattern, colors, and special requests) so you can order your very own customized Refillable Carved Candle! If you are not sure what each section of the order form is referring to, this is the post that goes into more detail so you can fully understand what you will be ordering.

Note: Custom orders in-person at one of our four Renaissance Festival locations offer much more flexibility for customization than we are able to offer online. Here on our website, we offer only a limited selection of custom order options. For more information about ordering customized candles in person, please click here.
First, consider the candle size
One of the first things to consider when ordering any candle is the size of the candle. Our candles come in a variety of sizes, and the Carved Candles are no exception. However, for online orders, we only offer three of the most commonly ordered sizes. They are:
5in Carved Candle
- 5 inch candles refill with one-inch sections of tapered candles - they do not refill with votives
- Available in the carving patterns Butterfly, Basket, Bow Curls Up and Bow Curls Down
- $37 for the candle itself, plus $35 shipping and handling - Total price for one candle: $72
7in Carved Candle
- 7 inch candles refill with one-inch sections of tapered candles - they do not refill with votives
- Available in the carving patterns Basket, Bow Curls Up and Bow Curls Down
- $42 for the candle itself, plus $35 shipping and handling - Total price for one candle: $77
8in Carved Candle
- 8 inch candles refill easily with pre-made votives
- Available in the carving patterns Basket, Bow Curls Up and Bow Curls Down
- $47 for the candle itself, plus $35 shipping and handling - Total price for one candle: $82
Next, consider the candle Carving Pattern
The next thing to consider when ordering your carved candle is the carving pattern. We offer three main carving patterns, available on all three candle sizes, plus one additional carving pattern available only on the 5 inch candle. The carving patterns are pictured below, but you can learn more about them here. Pay close attention to the differences in each carving pattern below:
Basket Weave (available on 5in, 7in, 8in candles)
Bow Curls Up (available on 5in, 7in, 8in candles)
Bow Curls Down (available on 5in, 7in, 8in candles)
Butterfly (only on 5in candles)
Finally, choose your candle's colors
For custom ordered carved candles online, you will be able to choose the color of the glow, the color of the first stripe, the second stripe, the third stripe, and the color of the exterior. All custom candles will include layers of white between colored stripes, and all colors will be visible throughout the candle.
Please Note: All colors are hand mixed by our candle carvers and dippers, so there may be some variance in the color. This is part of the surprise and joy of hand made goods, please set your expectations accordingly.
Glow Color
The glow is the color that will emanate from the centermost core of the candle, through the carving pattern, when the candle is lit.

Glow color options: White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Peach, Orange, Mauve, Ivory, Green, Turquoise, Purple, Pink
Please Note: We do not offer black or brown for the glow layer.
First Stripe Color
If you look at the folded part of the carved candle pictured below, it's a little easier to distinguish the stripes. The First Stripe is the thick green stripe bordering the glow, the centermost and brightest point of the candle.
First Stripe color options: White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Peach, Orange, Mauve, Ivory, Green, Turquoise, Purple, Pink, Black, or Brown
Second Stripe Color
The Second Stripe is the brown stripe sandwiched between the two white layers.
Second Stripe color options: White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Peach, Orange, Mauve, Ivory, Green, Turquoise, Purple, Pink, Black, or Brown
Third Stripe Color
The Third Stripe is the ivory stripe sandwiched between the white layer after the brown, and the white exterior layer.
Third Stripe color options: White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Peach, Orange, Mauve, Ivory, Green, Turquoise, Purple, Pink, Black, or Brown
Exterior Color
The exterior of the candle is the final layer of wax applied to the candle. It can be one of the more prominent colors as it is the outermost layer seen. On this candle, the exterior is the final layer of glossy white seen just above the 4th stripe in ivory.
Exterior color options: White, Blue, Yellow, Red, Peach, Orange, Mauve, Ivory, Green, Turquoise, Purple, Pink, Black, or Brown
Special Requests
Do you have more ideas that are not included on our standard order form?
You might ask us something like, "Can you add a 5th stripe in the color green?" or "Can the exterior have a gradient?" or "Can you make my candle without the white stripes?"
Although we love doing special ordered custom candles, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate special requests, but we are interested in discussing your ideas.
